Prior to accepting an advisory role consulting to Northfield Asia Ltd, Yasuhiko Nakase previously worked for SSGA Japan for 13 years. He held multiple positions there, most recently as head of performance evaluation and IT, and previously head of passive equity in Tokyo. Before joining SSGA Japan, he was a quant analyst for Japanese equity at Paribas Asset Management. Before joining Paribas, he was involved with systems development at Arthur Andersen Systems Consulting (presently Accenture) and with Nihon Digital Equipment R&D Center. He holds an MBA in finance from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, and a BS in mathematics from Tokyo University. He is also a CFA charter holder, and a member of the board of directors in CFA Society of Japan.
